Turkish Airlines flies non-stop from Toronto and Montreal to Istanbul. Check current schedules with the airline; from other cities it's usually one connection.

Spring and fall are best.

April–June and September–October bring warm days for sightseeing without the summer crowds. Summer is beach season on the coast; winter is quiet, good value in Istanbul and sometimes snowy in Cappadocia.
